Foreign Accent Modification
Introductory Group Classes
In our small, multilingual group classes, we use the same methods as in our private instruction programs. Our group classes are substantially more cost-effective than private instruction. Each group has a maximum of 5 participants, so you will still receive a great deal of individual attention.
The Introductory class focuses on improving your pronunciation of American English vowels and consonants. The class also addresses changing your rate of speech so your speech is more understandable. Your will learn to pronounce words and expressions that you use at work and at home.
After the Introductory class, you'll be able to:
- Hear the difference between correct and incorrect American pronunciation.
- Pronounce the sounds of American English correctly.
- Pronounce words and expressions that you use at work.
- Use your new pronunciation when you speak at work and at home.
- Use an appropriate rate of speech.
